I’ve been an avid fan of the Tony Hawk video game franchise since day one. I can vividly recall multiple gaming session with every game in the series, fueled by Dr. Pepper as beer as I grew with the series. My skills have been honed and I’m a hardened veteran at grinding your ass into oblivion. It’s a great game from my teen hood that has been able to continue the plunge with me now into my late twenties.

One aspect of EVERY SINGLE GAME that has always impressed me has been the soundtrack. Often times in games the soundtrack gets overlooked and a variety of the current top 40 bullshit gets thrown into the game. When you are making a game directed at a counter culture such as skateboarding you damn well better make sure you get the music right. The Tony Hawk series has never dropped the ball on this one making sure each game has included a lengthy and diverse list of artists to capture every aspect of the skating lifestyle.

Recently Activision has released the track list for the latest installment in the Tony Hawk series title “Proving Grounds”. The new track list does not disappoint one bit and I cannot wait to get my hands on the newest game. I’ll be using the new release as a backdrop to reminisce and review the previous soundtracks to each game. Keep an eye out in the coming weeks for my take and breakdown on each track list.

Everyday is a new day.

Because I needed to tell you that. This is my first blog post here on le blogger. Who knows, it could very well be my last. Let's see...I'm into music, movies, and games. I also like to drink booze alot and occasionally I'll play some basketball or workout. This will probably turn into a music blog more than anything with reviews of albums I like or dont like here and there. The world will just have to sit back, relax, and see what happens.
